Description
The check valve spring provides the force necessary for the check valve to operate properly. It acts as a mechanical spring, applying pressure to the valve disc or ball to hold it closed when fluid flows in the opposite direction. When fluid flows in the desired direction, the spring compresses, allowing the valve to open so fluid can pass.
