496-3001 Track Adjuster and Recoil Spring Support

Cat® Ductile Iron Track Adjuster Support Used in Undercarriages

Description

The track adjuster bracket consists of a steel frame bolted to the machine frame. Inside the frame is a piston and cylinder assembly that provides the force needed to adjust track tension. The piston is connected to the idler shaft, while the cylinder is connected to the frame. As the piston moves in and out of the cylinder, it adjusts the position of the idler and thereby the tension of the track chain. When the machine encounters an obstacle, the spring absorbs the shock applied to the front idler.

Attributes

  • Comes with 4 mounting holes for use with M12 fasteners.
  • High tensile strength and impact resistance.
  • Manufactured to exact specifications for rugged durability, reliable performance and high efficiency.

Applications

The track adjuster support is a component that serves as a shock absorber, protecting the undercarriage from impact and overload and accommodating uneven ground.
