Description
A water pump (for example, part number 477-7577) is a simple centrifugal pump, usually driven by a belt on the crankshaft, that continuously circulates coolant while the engine is running, pushing coolant from the pump into the engine. Cat water pumps are designed to meet the flow and pressure requirements within the engine and are extensively tested to ensure that coolant flow and pressure meet engine requirements.
