Description
Bolt-on, top-mounted wear plates protect the bevel and top of the base edge between adapters where end wear is a problem. They also help protect the top adapter strap welds from abrasive wear, which prevents adapter/base edge cracking.
These Cat® center plates are made of fully hardened DH-2 steel and are used with bolt-on half arrow segments to cover the entire base edge and reduce weld joint wear. These components are designed to provide optimal strength and a wear life comparable to half arrow segments, reducing maintenance frequency. With long bolts and nuts, the top wear plates can be installed quickly and easily.
