196-8085 Aftercooler Radiator
Cat® 1546.3 mm long aftercooler radiator cools intake air after compression, ensuring optimal engine performance and temperature regulation.
Description
The aftercooler radiator of the cooling system is a specialized component commonly used in internal combustion engines (especially turbocharged or supercharged systems) to cool compressed air after it has gone through the forced induction process. The aftercooler radiator, also called an intercooler or charge air cooler, is an important part of the engine cooling system. The function of the aftercooler is to lower the air temperature and increase the density and oxygen content of the air, thereby improving combustion and engine efficiency.
Attributes
- Ensures reliability and durability
- High-temperature resistant
Applications
The aftercooler radiator, or intercooler, of the cooling system is located between the compressor outlet and the engine intake manifold. Its main job is to dissipate heat from the compressed air, lowering its temperature to a level closer to ambient temperature. It is an important component in the cooling system of turbocharged or supercharged engines. Its role is to reduce the temperature of the compressed intake air and improve engine performance and efficiency.
