191-5671 25 mm OD Compression Spring
Cat® 25 mm OD compression spring used in hydraulic piston motors, providing the necessary return force for the brake piston
Description
The compression spring is used between the brake piston and the motor head of the piston motor to support the motor and ensure proper motor operation. It has a helical shape and consists of tightly wound coils with gaps between the coils. This structure allows the spring to compress and expand under axial load and exert a force opposing compression. It is used to resist compression when a force is applied axially along its length. When a compressive force is applied, the coils are compressed and the spring stores energy.
Attributes
- High strength and wear resistance
- Withstands high loads and vibration applied to the component
Applications
The compression spring is used to provide the restoring force necessary for the brake piston to ensure proper braking and engagement of the brake discs in the piston motor, contributing to the overall safety and function of the motor.
