Description
An involute spline coupling is a mechanical connection that allows two shafts to transmit torque between them. The pressure angle of the involute spline is an important parameter that determines the amount of torque that can be transmitted through the spline and the efficiency of the connection. Involute splines allow the teeth to engage and disengage smoothly as the shafts rotate and reduce stress concentration on individual teeth.
Attributes
- The external and internal involute splines each have a pressure angle of 30°.
- The number of teeth in the external involute spline and internal involute spline is 37 and 11, respectively, providing a balance between torque transfer and load distribution.
- Made of steel to resist corrosion.
Applications
The involute spline coupling is used to transfer power from one part to another.
