508-6292 Radiator Aftercooler Core
Cat® radiator aftercooler core is a heat exchange component that further cools compressed air from the turbocharger or supercharger.
Description
The radiator aftercooler core is a component in a mechanical air intake system, typically located after the turbocharger or supercharger, that cools compressed air. This cooling process increases air density, helping improve engine efficiency and power output, especially in forced-induction engines.
Attributes
- High heat transfer efficiency for effective cooling
- Efficient airflow and cooling
- Withstands heavy-duty applications
Applications
The radiator aftercooler core works by passing compressed air from the turbocharger or supercharger through its tubes and fins. As ambient air flows over the fins, heat is dissipated, lowering the temperature of the compressed air before it enters the engine to improve performance.
