9L-6643 1549 mm Long V-Belt
Cat® Alternator V-Belt
Description
A V-belt is a power transmission belt with a trapezoidal cross-section. V-belts are designed to transmit power between two pulleys by creating friction between the belt and the pulley surfaces. The V-belt wraps around grooved pulleys, generating friction to transmit power. The shape of the V-belt allows a larger contact area between belt and pulley, resulting in greater friction and higher power transmission efficiency.
Attributes
- Flexible, heat resistant and abrasion resistant.
- Maximum power transfer and prevents slipping.
- Effective length of 1549 mm
Applications
The V-belt transfers power from the engine crankshaft to the alternator rotor shaft and is widely used on Cat articulated trucks, cold planers, generator set engines, generator sets, power modules, industrial engines, generators, gas engines, industrial engines, pump trucks, truck engines, marine engines, petroleum transmissions, road reclaimers and soil stabilizers.
