Description
Universal joints (for example, 8X-5005) are used to transmit rotational motion between shafts in the Cat powertrain.
Powertrain components must withstand extremely high torque, high shock loads, and frequent directional shifts. Cat designs and builds transmission and final drive components with these demands in mind, ultimately improving the durability and performance of the powertrain over the life of the machine.
