Description
Cat® fastener parts are designed for specific applications based on size, strength, clamp load and past performance, information other manufacturers do not have. A set screw is used to prevent relative motion between two parts or to align components. The cone point with a dowel is used for line-up operations. Flat and cylindrical points are used for flat-surface operations. The cup point is used on round surfaces and provides excellent holding power. The oval point is less likely to damage the surface, but loses some holding power.
