Cat® 137.16 mm OD Ductile Iron Top Piston Ring for Engine
Description
The top piston ring is part of the internal combustion engine and is located at the very top of the piston. It seals the combustion chamber during the compression and power strokes of engine operation and prevents high-pressure gases from leaking from the combustion chamber into the crankcase.
Attributes
- Outer layer of the ring is chrome plated for good corrosion resistance
- Provides a gap of 0.724 mm, which gives the ring the necessary room to expand
