Description
A shim is a fastener used to create space between two components. They are also used to provide positioning assistance between components. The size and shape of steel shims may vary depending on their intended use, but they are usually manufactured to very tight tolerances to ensure precise spacing between components. Shims can be coated or heat treated to enhance their performance.
Attributes
