7S-4607 Detent Mechanism
Cat® Control Valve Detent Mechanism
Description
The detent mechanism is a set of parts, including a housing, spring, roller, and follower, assembled to move back and forth into and out of the housing. The spring rate of the spring is precisely controlled during production to achieve the desired detent holding force. The roller (a ball in this case) typically has a very low coefficient of friction and very high mechanical hardness, allowing smooth operation while ensuring a long service life.
Features
- Designed for specific applications
- High mechanical hardness and low surface friction coefficient
- Manufactured to very tight tolerances
Applications
This detent mechanism is used in various systems on the machine, including hydraulic systems, implements, operator station, power train systems, and work tools.
