OD-controlled O-rings are used in sealing applications where the seal outside diameter is the critical dimension.
Features
Cat® O-rings are made from materials compatible with the fluids, temperatures and pressures in Cat engines and machines. These materials resist wear and extrusion, giving the seals excellent compression set resistance. In addition, some Cat O-rings are coated with PTFE to minimize seal twisting and cutting during installation.
Our O-rings are dimensioned to strictly follow tight tolerances, ensuring they are properly seated in the seal groove with the right seal compression.

Applications
OD-controlled O-rings are used in many static and dynamic joints in Cat machines and engines, including ORFS (O-Ring Face Seal) and STOR (Straight Thread O-Ring) couplings and adapters.
