7D-3013 144-Tooth External Spline Damper
Cat® Service and Parking Brake External Spline Damper
Description
Cat powertrain components must withstand extreme torque, high shock loads, and frequent direction and gear changes. Cat designs and manufactures transmission and final drive components with these demands in mind, ultimately improving powertrain durability and performance over the life of the machine. Cat brake dampers are used with the braking system to provide the critical friction that slows, stops, or holds the machine stationary, and to provide noise reduction for quieter braking operation.
Features
- Hardened steel core reduces spline wear.
- (144)-tooth external spline ensures an accurate OEM fit.
- OEM friction formulation maintains braking performance to certification standards.
Applications
Cat brake dampers are part of the braking system and are used to reduce machine speed and operating noise. Refer to your Operation and Maintenance Manual or contact MECHSC for more information.
