Description
Gear used in transmission planetary gear sets. Cat gears are manufactured to technical specifications that strictly match the loads in Cat machines, from carefully selected high-quality materials. They are made using special (in some cases proprietary) heat treatment processes, including case carburizing, nitriding, and induction hardening. Cat gears offer the industry's highest power density (the power a gear can transmit relative to its size) and are designed with reusability in mind.
