Description
Metal armor guards protect hoses from abrasion, impact, crushing and other hazards.
Features
Cat® metal-armored guards are made of cold-drawn carbon steel wire and are designed to provide superior protection against abrasion, impact, crushing and other hazards. Cat armored guards also use a special plating process to resist rust.
Recommended Applications:
Cat metal-armored guards are intended for low-stress use under static or low-cycle repeated loading, where the operating temperature does not exceed 200°F (or 250°F when greater load loss can be tolerated).

Cat® hose assembly products are designed and tested as a system to provide reliable connections that maximize hydraulic system safety and reliability. In addition, properly maintained, appropriate Caterpillar tooling is recommended to ensure hoses are crimped to technical specifications. Using Caterpillar hose with another manufacturer's couplings, or Caterpillar couplings with another manufacturer's hose, may result in unreliable, unsafe, or poorly performing hose assemblies.
