Description
The governor and fuel pump ring is a fastener used to secure a component on a shaft or in a bore. It is a split metal ring that fits into a groove on the shaft or in the bore. Once installed, the ring acts as a spring and creates a holding force that keeps the component in place. An external retaining ring can seat in a groove on the outside of the shaft, and an internal retaining ring can seat in a groove inside the bore.
