Description
The intake valve is used to regulate the flow of the fuel-air mixture into the combustion chamber. As the piston moves down on the intake stroke, the intake valve opens, allowing the mixture to enter the combustion chamber from the intake manifold. After the cylinder fills, the intake valve closes to form a sealed chamber, ensuring efficient combustion and preventing gas backflow.
