630-0153 Electromechanical Linear Actuator
Cat® Hood Tilt Electromechanical Linear Actuator
Description
An electromechanical linear actuator is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical motion to produce linear motion along a straight line. The actuator typically consists of a motor, brushes, linkage, power station, and a nut or coupling, which convert the rotary motion of the motor into linear motion. The linear motion produced by the actuator can usually be controlled precisely, with a linear speed of 11 mm/sec with no load and 7 mm/sec at full load.
Features
- Provides reliable and precise control of movement.
- Provides full locking capability when the motor extends and retracts the shunt.
- Corrosion resistant, allowing exposure to harsh environments.
Applications
Electromechanical linear actuators are used to control the movement of the hood.
