Description
The water temperature regulator, also known as a thermostat, is used in the cooling system to help regulate the temperature of the engine coolant. It is usually located at the engine outlet, where coolant flows from the engine cylinder block into the radiator. It consists of a valve mechanism that opens and closes based on coolant temperature.
Features
- Maximum allowable leakage at the valve seat and sleeve is 100 CC/MIN (30 PSI).
- Helps remove excess heat generated by the engine and maintain a stable operating temperature.
