Description
Bearing A, a backing plate bearing, supports the rotating swashplate and facilitates the reciprocating motion of the pistons. The swing plate connected to the drive shaft rotates inside the guide bearing. As the swashplate rotates, it causes the pistons to reciprocate. The pistons in turn press against the inner surface of the housing bearing, forming a seal and creating the pumping action.
