543-3701 Pump Barrel Piston
Cat® Pump Barrel Piston Used in Hydraulic Piston Pumps to Draw In and Discharge Fluid During Pump Operation
Description
The pump barrel piston is used to draw in hydraulic oil, compress it, and then discharge it under pressure to generate hydraulic power. The piston moves back and forth within the piston barrel, creating a vacuum on one stroke and compressing the hydraulic oil on the other stroke. The piston divides the cylinder barrel into two fluid chambers, called the suction chamber and the discharge chamber.
Attributes
- Withstands heavy loads and high impact stress
- Provides accurate and consistent fluid delivery
Applications
Pump barrel pistons are used in hydraulic piston pumps to convert mechanical motion into hydraulic pressure, ensuring continuous pump operation.
