542-1303 10 mm OD Compression Spring
Cat® compression spring, 10 mm OD, resists compressive forces in hydraulics and power train.
Description
The compression spring is used to store energy through compression. When the spring is compressed, its coils are pushed closer together and energy is stored as elastic potential energy. When the force is removed, the spring returns to its original shape, releasing the stored energy. These springs are commonly used to absorb and dampen shock and vibration, providing cushioning and reducing the impact of sudden forces.
Attributes
- Resists deformation over time, retaining its shape and performance even after prolonged use
- Built to exact specifications for durability and reliability
Applications
The compression spring is used to store mechanical energy when compressed and to release that energy when the compressive force is removed.
