A Cat crankcase breather filter is a component that allows air to flow into and out of the engine crankcase to regulate pressure and prevent the buildup of harmful gases and contaminants. A breather filter assembly consists of parts such as an air filter and a check valve within the crankcase breather filter. The breather can be integrated into the engine valve cover or other components, or it can be a separate component mounted on the cylinder block or cylinder head.
