Description
The gear pump internal retaining ring is a fastener used to secure or retain components such as gears, bearings or seals. It is designed as a circle with a small gap or opening and can be inserted into a groove or notch using specialized pliers or tools. Once in place, the retaining ring expands slightly and applies pressure to the sides of the groove, securely holding the gear in place.
