Description
Cat hoses are designed to route liquids and gases through machine systems. These hoses are made of quality materials built to withstand the application-specific pressure, vibration resistance and flow requirements of Cat heavy-duty equipment. Cat hydraulic hoses and couplings are tested using some of the most rigorous processes in the industry. Every Cat hose and coupling combination is tested as a system to ensure a perfect fit, maximizing safety and reliability. Cat ToughGuard™ hoses feature an abrasion-resistant cover for extremely harsh operating conditions. Tested to more than 2,000,000 cycles in SAE abrasion testing, they offer outstanding resistance to abrasion – the leading cause of hose failure.
The hose is made with a special high-temperature synthetic rubber tube and one layer of high-tensile steel wire braid reinforcement. The synthetic rubber cover is oil-, weather- and abrasion-resistant.
Specifications
| Hose Warning | Improper selection of hose and coupling combinations will void the warranty and may result in serious personal injury or death, property damage, or failure of components and machine systems. Cat® hose assembly products are designed and tested as a system to provide reliable connections that maximize hydraulic system safety and reliability. In addition, properly maintained, appropriate Caterpillar tooling is recommended to ensure hoses are crimped to technical specifications. Using Caterpillar hose with another manufacturer's couplings, or Caterpillar couplings with another manufacturer's hose, may result in unreliable, unsafe, or poorly performing hose assemblies. Caterpillar does not recommend or authorize this practice. For more information, refer to SAE J1273 Section 6.3 and ISO 17165-2 Section 6.3. |
