Description
An exhaust gas recirculation cooler is a device used in engines to lower the temperature of exhaust gas before it is recirculated back into the engine. By cooling the exhaust gas, it reduces the concentration of nitrogen oxides in engine emissions. The cooler recirculates a portion of the exhaust gas into the engine intake, where it mixes with fresh air and fuel.
