3T-4008 23-Tooth Planetary Gear
Cat® Planetary Gears Transfer Power and Torque Between the Engine and Transmission for Smooth Automatic Shifting
Description
The spur gear is the most common type of gear and consists of a cylinder or disc with teeth projecting straight outward. In addition, the two sides of a spur gear are usually identical, because the teeth extend straight from one side to the other.
Features
Cat gears are machined from premium materials to strict specifications that match the loads used in Cat machines. They are produced using special heat treatment processes (in some cases proprietary), including case carburizing, nitriding, and induction hardening. Cat gears offer the highest power density in the industry (the power a gear can transmit relative to its size) and are designed with reuse in mind. As a result, they are more durable and lower the overall operating cost of the machine.
Recommended Applications:
Cat gears are built for specific applications and are designed to ensure that all power train parts operate as a whole and withstand wear.
