Cat® Service Accumulator Assembly
Description
An accumulator is a pressure storage vessel that a hydraulic system can use to manage extreme system demands. By storing pressure in the accumulator, the hydraulic system can use a lower-power pump to meet urgent, temporary pressure demands.

- Uncharged accumulator
- SAE Port No. 8 (3/4-16 UN)
- Vessel Capacity: 1.98 L (121 cu. In.)
- Maximum Working Pressure: 25000 kPa (3625 psi)
- Charge Medium: Dry Nitrogen
Applications
Cat® accumulators are versatile. For example, they are used in hydraulic systems to enable the system to manage pressure surges, a condition that can produce enormous loads. They can also be used in brake systems and suspension systems.
