Description
The isolation mount is used to mount and locate systems, accommodate displacement, and isolate components from the surrounding structure (vibration, shock, noise).
Two-piece mounts are extremely versatile and include symmetric (two mounts) and asymmetric (mount plus pad) designs. They install in drilled holes in a support plate and are bolted through the center sleeve, either joined or loose.

Cat® mounting systems are designed to reduce the stress and strain on mounted components to increase their durability and performance life and to help ensure operator comfort. The entire system (mount design, material selection, placement, hardware, etc.) is optimized and validated to meet specific application requirements.
Two-piece mounts can be fine-tuned through the rubber compound and design geometry to suit a specific application. The mounts are typically pre-compressed for long service life.
Applications
Two-piece mounts are used in a variety of Cat system installations, including engines, transmissions, aftertreatment systems, electronics, cab and HVAC systems, hydraulic components, and structures.
