Description
Cat hoses are designed to route liquids and gases through machine systems. These hoses are made of quality materials built to withstand the application-specific pressure, vibration resistance and flow requirements of Cat heavy-duty equipment. Cat hydraulic hoses and couplings are tested using some of the most rigorous processes in the industry. Every Cat hose and coupling combination is tested as a system to ensure a perfect fit, maximizing safety and reliability.
The Cat XT ES hose family is designed and manufactured by Caterpillar for high-pressure hydraulic applications. Pressure ratings range from 2500 to 6000 psi (17.5 to 42.0 MPa). The ES (Enhanced Spiral) construction is a Caterpillar proprietary design that is impulse tested to twice the industry standard. Cat hose has a working radius of only half the SAE bend radius, allowing tighter routing in a wide range of applications.
The hose is made with a fabric-reinforced synthetic rubber tube and four or six layers of spiral-wrapped high-tensile steel wire reinforcement (separated by layers of synthetic rubber). The rubber cover is oil-, weather- and abrasion-resistant.
