357-0664 Fuel Line Relief Valve
Cat® Fuel Pump Pressure Reducing Valve
Description
The fuel pump pressure reducing valve, also known as a relief valve or bypass valve, is a key component of the fuel system in an internal combustion engine. It is designed to regulate and control pressure in the fuel system by allowing excess fuel to return to the fuel tank. The pressure reducing valve ensures proper pressure regulation in the fuel system, protecting components and maintaining an efficient and safe fuel supply.
Features
- Suitable for hoses with an inside diameter of 8 mm.
- Tested at 100 bar for 100% air decay leakage, with leakage less than 0.3 cc per minute.
- Tested at 25 kPa for 100% valve closing check, with flow less than 20 L/min.
- Tested at 55 kPa for 100% valve opening control, with flow rate of at least 35 L/min
Applications
The fuel pump relief valve releases fluid when a safe threshold is reached to prevent excessive pressure buildup. Widely used in Caterpillar 272D, 297D, and 299D skid steer loaders; 304, 305, 305.5, 306, 307.5, 313, 317, M314, and M315 excavators; C1.7, C2.2, and C3.6 engines (piston); C3.3, C4.4, D40, D50, ORDS6SCS, and XQ35 generator sets; CB2.5, CB2.7, CB2.9, CB4.0, CB4.4, CC2.7, CC4.0, CP-533E, and CS-533E compactors; CS-433E paving equipment; and SR5 generators (power supply).
