Description
The shim is used to leave space between the fastening components in the engine and the generator mounting bracket group. These shims are also used to provide positioning assistance between components. The size and shape of steel shims may vary depending on their intended use, but they are usually manufactured to very tight tolerances to ensure precise spacing between components.

Applications

It is mainly used on Cat® 1103, 1104, C3.3, C4.4, C6.6, C7.1, C9, DE110, DE150, DE165, DE200, DE220, DE33, DE350S, DE400, DE400S, DE50, DE55, DE65, DE88, ORDP4LEW and XQP30 generator sets, ORDM6J3S generator sets – oil field, P150-5 and P250-3 generator sets – FGW.
