330-9050 24.5 mm Diameter Compression Spring
Cat® Compression Spring, Diameter 24.5 mm
Description
Compression springs come in a variety of strengths and sizes to suit specific applications. Compression springs feature a helical design that gains compression and tension through spring compression (shortening) as more weight is applied. One of the greatest advantages of compression springs is their ability to resist the movement of another component. This characteristic allows a very small compression spring to integrate with the internal structure and function of the gauge. They are open-coil helical springs wound or constructed to resist compression along the axis of wind. Helical compression is the most common metal spring configuration. These helical springs can work independently but are often assembled over a guide rod or fitted inside a bore.
Attributes
- Springs meet or exceed current standards and material grades.
- Closed and ground ends for improved seating.
Applications
Compression springs store energy within the spring for use in machines and shops. Compression springs are available in many types, including barrel, conical, and double-conical springs.
