Description
Wiper seals are used in hydraulic cylinders to prevent external contaminants from entering the hydraulic system.
Features
The wiper seal cleans the hydraulic rod as it retracts and seals in oil to eliminate "weeping" (external leakage). This wiper seal is retained with a bearing retainer and gains added strength from a metal housing.
Recommended Applications:
This wiper seal is installed in the cylinder head of the hydraulic cylinder. Wiper seals with a metal shell, or "sealed" wipers, are pressed into the cylinder head.
