Description
An aftercooler gasket is a gasket that covers the gap between two or more mating surfaces, typically to prevent the joined components from leaking outward or inward while under compression. Gaskets are usually made from flat material or sheet, such as paper, rubber, silicone, metal, cork, felt, neoprene, nitrile rubber, fiberglass, polytetrafluoroethylene (also known as PTFE or Teflon), or a plastic polymer (such as polychlorotrifluoroethylene).
