Description
An internal retaining ring, also known as an internal snap ring or circlip, is a fastener used to secure and fasten components inside a bore or housing. Unlike external snap rings that are installed on a shaft or pin, internal snap rings are installed inside a bore or groove to hold components in place. The main purpose of an internal snap ring is to prevent axial movement or displacement of components inside the bore or housing. It acts as a retaining device that holds components such as bearings, shafts or seals securely in place.
