Description
A set screw (such as part number 299-2214) can transmit/bear light loads and is typically used to prevent relative motion between two parts. A cone point and a dog point are used together for line-up operations. Flat and stop points are used for flat surface operations. The stop point is sometimes used as a shear pin. A cup point is used on round surfaces and provides excellent holding power.
