Description
The valve cover is an essential component in the engine's valve system. It protects the valve mechanism and prevents debris, dirt, and moisture from entering and possibly damaging the valves or other components. A cover without an oil filler slot is used to enclose and protect the engine's valve mechanism components without providing a dedicated oil fill opening. Instead, oil is added through a separate oil filler or cap located elsewhere on the engine. This design makes the valve cover more secure and better sealed, minimizing the risk of oil leakage or contamination. In addition, the valve cover helps dampen noise generated by the valve mechanism, allowing the engine to run more quietly.
