281-8687 Solenoid 3-Way Air Valve
Cat® Solenoid 3-Way Air Valve
Description
The solenoid 3-way air valve is an electromechanical device used to control the flow of compressed air in a pneumatic system. It consists of a solenoid coil, a movable plunger, and an inlet, an outlet, and an exhaust port for the compressed air. It is an electrical component that generates a magnetic field when current passes through it. When the coil is energized, it attracts the movable plunger, which is connected to a sealing element inside the valve body. The movement of the plunger changes the position of the seal, which changes the direction of the compressed air flow.
Attributes
- Corrosion resistant.
- Durable and able to withstand loads.
Applications
The solenoid 3-way air valve provides a convenient and reliable way to control the direction of compressed air flow in order to drive different pneumatic components and perform specific tasks in a controlled manner.
Compatible Equipment
- Engines: C18
