Description
A washer is a thin, flat, ring-shaped piece of metal or plastic with a hole in the center, used to distribute the load of a fastener such as a bolt or screw. Washers can be used as shims to adjust the distance between two objects or surfaces. By placing washers between two objects, the distance can be increased as needed.
