249-2340 Engine Oil Filter Element
Cat® Engine Oil Filter Element
Description
The engine oil filter element is typically made of a porous material such as paper or synthetic fiber that traps particles and debris as oil flows through it. The engine oil filter element is usually located inside the oil filter housing, which is connected to the cylinder block. As oil flows through the filter element, it passes through a series of small pores that trap contaminants and prevent them from circulating through the engine.
Features
- Made of fiber-bonded cellulose, resistant to wear, tearing and chemical degradation
- Effective media area of 33716.0 cm2
- Helps improve oil flow through the engine, improving engine performance
