233-8134 44 Tooth Transmission Planetary Gear
Cat® Spur Gear
Description
Spur gears are the most common type of gear, consisting of a cylinder or disc with teeth that project straight outward. Spur gears also generally look the same from both sides because the teeth are straight from one face to the other.
Features
Cat gears are machined from carefully selected materials strictly to technical specifications that match the loads in Cat machines. They are made with special heat treatment processes (in some cases proprietary), including case carburizing, nitriding, and induction hardening. Cat gears offer the highest power density in the industry (the power a gear can transmit relative to its size) and are designed on a reuse philosophy. As a result, they are more durable and lower the total operating cost of the machine.
Recommended Applications:
Cat gears are purpose-built for their respective applications and designed to ensure that all drive train parts work and wear as one system.
