Cat® wiper seal for transmission selector and pressure control valves prevents contaminants from entering components, maintaining smooth operation.
Description
Prevents external contaminants from entering the system. A single-lip wiper (the lip refers to the protruding portion or edge of the seal) cleans the rod as it retracts. A double-lip wiper cleans the rod as it retracts and seals oil to eliminate oil leakage (external leakage). The double-lip wiper is retained with a bearing retainer. These polyurethane wipers are wrapped in metal on the outside for added strength. They are often referred to as encased wipers (metal-encased) or J-style wipers (the metal is typically J-shaped in cross-section).
Applications
Used as needed for servicing hydraulic cylinder components to ensure leak-free equipment. Refer to your Operation and Maintenance Manual or contact MECHSC for more information.
