Cat® 70 mm ID Rubber Single-Acting Piston Seal Ring Used in Track Adjuster and Recoil Spring
Description
The single-acting piston seal is designed to seal in one direction only, typically from the high-pressure side of the piston to the low-pressure side. When pressure is applied to the high-pressure side of the piston, the seal is pushed against the cylinder wall, forming a seal that prevents oil from leaking past the piston. When the pressure is released, the seal returns to its original position, allowing oil to flow past the piston in the opposite direction. It is placed in a seal housing or groove and presses against the piston rod or cylinder wall.

Applications
The single-acting piston seal is used to provide a tight seal between the piston and the cylinder wall to prevent oil from escaping into the track adjuster and recoil spring, and is used primarily on Cat 320, 320D, 323D, 325, 325D, 329D, 330D, 336D, 345C, C6.6 and C7.1 OEM Applications, and 323, 323F, 325C, 329E, 330, 330D and 330F Excavators.
