204-7685 30.5 mm Long Magnetic Switch
Cat® Flasher Magnetic Switch for Chassis Junction Box
Description
The flasher magnetic switch for the chassis junction box is a device in the vehicle electrical system used to control the flashing of the turn signal lamps or hazard indicator lamps. Installed in the chassis junction box, which is the central control unit for various electrical functions in the machine, it uses magnetic principles to control the timing and duration of the flashing signal. When activated by the machine turn signal or hazard indicator switch, the switch generates an oscillating magnetic field that triggers the corresponding indicator lamps to flash. It ensures a synchronized and consistent flashing pattern to improve road visibility and safety.
Attributes
- Ensures proper operation of the turn signal lamps and hazard indicator lamps.
- The magnetic switch operating temperature is -40°C to 85°C.
- Flasher frequency is 90 ±30 per minute.
Applications
The flasher magnetic switch is used to regulate the flashing of lights, providing a clear and consistent signal to improve visibility and ensure safer road interaction. It is primarily used on Cat M313C, M313D, M315C, M315D, M316C, M316D, M317D, M318C, M318D, M322C, and M322D excavators, and M318D and M322D material handlers.
