191-7587 Hydraulic Pump Piston
Cat® Rotating Pump Hydraulic Piston
Description
The hydraulic piston assembly is a device in a hydraulic system used to convert hydraulic power into mechanical force. It consists of a piston, piston rod, cylinder and seals. The piston is a cylindrical component that fits tightly against the inside of the cylinder bore and is moved by the hydraulic pressure of the fluid. The piston rod is connected to the piston and extends out of the cylinder, transmitting the force produced by the piston to an external load. The cylinder is a hollow tube containing a piston that can move back and forth inside it.
Features
- Corrosion-resistant.
- Strong enough to withstand the forces generated by the fluid.
- Durable, withstands the wear caused by constant piston movement.
Applications
The hydraulic piston assembly is used to provide the power necessary for lifting, pushing and digging operations.
