Description

The external spiral retaining ring is used to secure the fixed components inside the oil cooler bypass check valve assembly. The spiral shape of the rings allows them to expand and contract as needed to fit the groove. The spiral retaining ring applies radial force to the valve, constraining it axially within the assembly. This constraint is used to maintain proper valve alignment and sealing under changing pressure and temperature conditions.
